CLE Information Among
the benefits of membership in TMAA are CLE programs specifically for
municipal practitioners. The Association generally does two (2) programs
each year, one in February or thereabouts and another in conjunction
with the Tennessee Municipal League conference in June. These programs
generally run all day and provide about six (6) total hours of CLE credit.
One and a half (1-1/2) hours generally are devoted to ethics issues
for city attorneys. The registration fees for these seminars are very
reasonable.
“TMAA provides the best source of continuing education in the state for attorneys who work for local governments. I can’t imagine practicing municipal law in Tennessee without attending TMAA seminars.” Roger Horner, BrentwoodCity Attorney
“My involvement with the TMAA has been professionally satisfying and enjoyable. I attend similar seminars in other states, and I have found TMAA’s programs to be the most relevant and meaningful.” Rick Whitehead, J.D., MTAS Management Consultant
